Spring Festival Greeting from the Minister-Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Japan

On the occasion of the upcoming Chinese New Year in 2024, on behalf of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, I would like to extend my best wishes for the Chinese New Year to the personnel of Chinese funded institutions, skilled interns, netizens of People's Daily Online, and friends from all walks of life in Japan!

2023 is the starting year for implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and also the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Sino Japanese Peace and Friendship Treaty. Under the strong leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people at home and abroad have united as one to take solid steps in building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.  

2024 will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In the face of new situations and challenges, China has solidly promoted high-quality development, and the "three new" economy has unleashed vitality. The trend of sustained economic recovery and overall improvement has not changed. There is great potential for cooperation between China and Japan in areas such as green and low-carbon, digital economy, high-end manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and healthcare. I hope both sides can seize the opportunity together, improve the quality and level of cooperation, and make greater efforts for the economic development and people's well-being of the two countries!
