Unite Hearts and Efforts, Forge Innovations: The Japan-China Enterprise Association Hosts a Spring New Year Exchange Event
On January 31st, the Chinese Enterprise Association's Rabbit Year New Year Exchange Conference was held at the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo. Yang Yu, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Song Yaoming, Minister of Economy and Commerce, former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, and Wang Jiaxun, President of the China Enterprise Association in Japan, attended and delivered speeches. Shi Ming, Chief Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Japan, presided over the exchange meeting. About 160 members of the China Enterprise Association in Japan, including business leaders, attended the meeting to celebrate the Spring Festival and deepen exchanges, conveying a good intention to unite, explore and innovate, and promote the stable development of China Japan relations in the right direction.

In his speech, Yang Yu, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Japan and Ambassador Kong Xuanyou, expressed gratitude to the China Enterprise Association in Japan and its member companies for their long-term efforts in promoting Sino Japanese economic and trade cooperation and improving the development of bilateral relations. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between China and Japan, and China Japan relations have once again reached an important milestone. We hope that the China Enterprise Association in Japan will continue to work hard, forge ahead, actively leverage its unique advantages in communicating with the economic circles of China and Japan, continuously deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the development of China Japan relations and high-quality domestic development.

During his speech on behalf of the organizers, Wang Jiaxun stated that since the establishment of the China Enterprise Association in Japan 23 years ago, with the support, assistance, and care of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, a lot of concrete work has been done, which has had a very good social impact in Japan, achieved unity and progress, and assumed social responsibility. In the future, the association will continue to deepen practical cooperation between the two countries through various forms and levels of activities such as organizing presentations, corporate forums, and business exchanges. In addition, Wang Jiaxun also introduced to the attendees the personnel adjustments of some member units' newly appointed personnel to Japan since the outbreak of the epidemic.

Yukio Hatoyama expressed his respect for the important contributions made by the China Enterprise Association in Japan. He pointed out in his speech that when Japan encounters difficulties, the China Enterprise Association in Japan generously donates to Japanese society, and more Japanese people should express their gratitude for this. He stated that although the current China Japan relationship is facing some complex and severe tests, the relationship between the two countries is very important. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Sino Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship, and he looks forward to the China Enterprise Association in Japan continuing to contribute to improving the relationship between the two countries.

During his toast, Song Yaoming expressed high expectations for the China Enterprise Association in Japan and its member companies. At the exchange meeting, the China Enterprise Association held a ceremony to award new member representatives, and three new member companies were awarded membership cards. The 73rd generation of Japanese sumo wrestlers, Yokozuna, attended the event and delivered congratulatory speeches. Japanese friendly figures, including Jun Miyata, the chairman of Minghai University, also participated in the exchange activities on that day.
